16 Jun 2009, 16:07i m frustrated in omanstill i mtrying to get job in oman as biology teacher, while i have 5 year teaching experience as college lecturer, in oman biology is not taught at college level.only in technical college muscat.i also got response from tati, about intervew they said it depend on respective mininstry. school administration offered me level 6,7and8, i refused them.anybody can advise me specially omani people.

thank u abdulrehman, u have good qualification but problem is that there is no any positive progress observed in biological field in your country due to which i frustrated.now i m in pakistan soon will come in oman and then try. i have degree in MS molecular genetics can u guide me according your country.

Sara, I thought you were frustrated due to serious matters about my country,,,, however, now I do understand the issue,,, and if this the only reason,,, then you will have the same feeling where ever you go in any of Islamic counrtries. Your field is quite interesting, however, we are another under develpment country and still needs another 30 yrs to foucs on gentics..!! ha kidding.
Any way, when you are in, let me knew and we can chat more.

but i think you should encourage the people in your countary, if u have no progress in this field.

I think you better tray in Oman Germany University or SQU and Sohar University, however if you have any contact at PDO company they are working in the same field or they will direct you to one of there contractors.

Hi Sara,
Really afraid to moving Oman now. Because of the resession in one of the construction company in Bahrain, they laid off 3000 employees including myself, one of my friend arranged a visit visa of Oman for myself. Hopefuly i will be travling to Oman in the first week of October. What are job circumstances over there? Do they pay good.
Any by the way, dont be disheartend, KEEP YOUR CHIN UP AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!

According to my experience the companies in the same field "constructions" are all same in Gulf region ... and there is a good business in constructions now a days hope all the best for you.

Well, I think the place you work for should ask for visa from the ministry of manpower if u r still abroad;
How would the place you work for accept you? --- > Depends on the interview that is taken, either via the internet (rarely) or should have some influence (who can make it for you).

I was working in Oman at Al Seeb Sport One at Al Mawelly Complex and also married an Omani national from Al Mandhari caste. Now she is in Oman and her family is refusing to send her back so kindly help me out in solving the issue. i think u need to contact to your local ministry and oman embassy in india. They will guide you about the correct information.
