  Question About A Russian Musician

  I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about a Russian pop/techno/dance musician called "The Oskar"? He had a video banned on Russian MTV for a song called "Becoming Jihad" in 2003 or 2004, I think. It came out around the time of the Chechnya conflict. I was hoping someone might be able to give me more information about that, about his music, about his career in Russia...anything really would be fantastic. Thanks if you can help!

  As I remember

  I think that now "The Oskar" is more american singer than russian)))
  Because he has been living in NY since 2004.
  His real name is Shamil Malkanduev (Шамиль Малкандуев), he was more popular in Russia in 90-ths. In my opinion his the most famous song is "Between me and you".
