Posted in Argentina forum 30 Sep 2008, 10:00
Hey everybody!
What places shouldn't I miss to visit if I'm going on a trip to Argentina??
How long should I plan for a trip to see the most important things?

Hi Nahuel, thanks for your reply!
You named quite a lot of things and all sound interesting...are the distances between them large? Can I travel by bus or do I have to take a plane sometimes? I'm a bit confused how to get the whole trip organised! -

Hi, my name is Oscar ([…]) do not speak English, I am using a translator.
You can travel through these cities mentioned, but there are about 1,000 km between the two, is beautiful journey, you may be in omnibus or plane. any questions you may have to consult to take an organized tour. can be recommended. -

Thanks for your reply, Oscar!
1000 km is quite a distance! I'll better go by plane, the bus would take way too much time I think. And I definitely have to get an organized tour, otherwise it will be a total chaos! -

actually, it's like saying how long you can take to travel the most important cities is 12 to 18 hours of travel, which recorrerias in one night.
example: from Buenos Aires to Iguazu an bus usually leave at 18:00 P.M.arriving at their destination 10:30 A.M. approximately. In my experience, with the purchase of a ticket in sleeper service, you can compare it like you have a night's stay.
With respect to organized tour, my opinion is that I do not like to be like a herd of sheep, where he tells me where to go and how long must I be.
The tour of the loveliest places in Argentina, could last for about 20/25 days. if you want a circuit. -

Hmm you're right, I wouldn't lose that much time travelling one night from city to city.
And you're also right concerning the thing with the organized tour, that you don't have that much free decision...but I think organizing a tour within whole Argentina would be too much work for me...very tricky decision. -

Bus travel in Argentina

I travelled through different countries in South America once and have to say, that the overnight busses in Argentina work quite well and are very luxury and comfortable. You have leather seats that can be made to reclining seats, can watch movies and so on..really a good way to travel and not very expensive!
