Voluntary Health Insurance

I don't work for the IAEA ..., but don't they provide you with a comprehensive relocation information pack that would contain that info? Most companies that recruit expats provide that service, so I would expect that from any UN agency as a standard procedure.
Furthermore, I would expect them to have negotiated special rates with a specific insurance company for their staff. So I think you should enquire there instead of going through an insurance broker.
Otherwise the current voluntary monthly health insurance rate through the Wiener Gebietskrankenkasse is EUR 357,48. Their website is only in German, but here's the link:

You could also send an enquiry to the Expat Centre Vienna to see what they recommend: http://www.expatcenter.at/index.php?id=1&L=1
Good luck with your move!

Doris - Thanks much. The IAEA has a plan and I have the details on that, but I can also use the Austrian National health system and I wasn't able to find any information on that, so your website will definitely help. Does the EUR 357 per month just cover me or does that also cover my wife and kids? Both are in college, one is 22 and about to graduate and the other is just starting as a freshmen. Dirk
