I have eaten a lot of food in Austria and for me it ranges from great to fantastic. But it really depends on what you like. You will probably find that it is less spicy than what you are used to, but it is quite rich. I reckon eat in small, less fancy places and you get more authentic food. Be prepared to try things you have no idea what is.

I am from Italy and I am very used to eat healthy food, but I heard that food in Austria is with a lot of potatoes and greasy...so thank you for the information, but do you know if this is true?

You are correct that they use potatoe a lot compared to mediteranian food. They also use other noodles. Greasy? I don't think compared to the Italians love for olive oil, but it will be less poly-unsaturated oils (as in more animal fat and less vegtable oils).
