What medical insurance coverage is available for Austrians living abroad?

I have an exchange student staying with me in the United States for the next 5 months. The exchange program provides medical insurance for emergency situations, so I'm wondering what coverage is available from the Austrian national health care system for non-emergency things such as dental care, sports physicals, immunizations, etc.? Is there a website which explains this?
