Old sponsor's refusal for release

Hi goodevening.....i already resigned from my old sponsor.When i came to my old sponsor to ask for my release they are telling me to exit frst the country then go back Bahrain for new job. I finished already a two year contract and just renew mu visa three months ago. I decided to leave the company cause there is no room for growth there,They are telling me that renewing my visa is automatically renewing my contract to them? Is that so?is visa the same as the contract?. I dont know now what to do cause i dont even have my mobility now cause LMRA is refusing to give me one because it is needed to have my old sponsor's approval before i will get or i should have my visa valid for one year? What im afraid now is what if my old employer will cancel my visa without my knowledge and not knowing that i already have my scheduled flight back to my country!?please i need an advice....my old company is telling me that if i would leave them, i will pay for the visa that was already renewed and still exit the country...that is their company rules and they dont care about law of bahrain. But befrore they already released some of resigned employee but wen it came to me,they implement such rule...i need an advice on what the best thing to do........thank u

    Thank you so much for your attention answering my concern,,,by the way sir, i already have my mobility and my old company asking us to pay for the balance visa left but then again asking us to go back my conutry,..i want to know if i have the fight wth this case because my old employer is still not cooperating wth my transfer or cancellation of my visa..But i already inform LMRA about it , they told me to go to new sponsor to give the pink card ( proof of resignation) then if my new sponsor is eligible for applying visa tru that pink card we cvan have visa after all...but if that happens, we can work in my new sponsor eventhough my visa with the old sponsor is still valid? ....thank yoi for ur time!

    I understand what you are going through and here is my two bits. Hope it helps...
    1. If you have resigned from your old company and resignation accepted, the fist thing you need to do is apply for mobility at LMRA. Your note doesnt clarify that.
    2. You don't have to exit the country and should be able to effect a local transfer. But then again, many companies have a clause where they specify that an employee is liable for fees incurred by the company towards visa/work permits/residency etc, should the employee leave before the completion of the contract. And if I am not mistaken, you are leaving 3 months after your visa was renewed in which case they might hold you to it
    3. Your note doesnt clarify either what your new employer has to say about it

    It would be best to speak to your company's HR resource and visit LMRA for advice
