VISA PROBLEM

Can u please help me with my problem. I already resigned in my previous work here in Bahrain and now I'm working in a restaurant. I already send all the documents to my new workplace and as of now, I'm already 5 months working in this restaurant. My problem now is, I was so naive not know that this restaurant still didn't process my visa even though I already submitted every papers they need. One day i was so shocked because they called me and they informed me not to go to work that day because the LMRA was doing a background check. The other day, i went to work, DISMAYED AND FEELING HURT and I asked them regarding my visa and they said it still on process. I'm already 5 MONTHS and how come it still on process. I want to do a legal action now since I know I'm staying and working here in Bahrain illegally. I already signed a 2 years contract with them and I know this is not valid since they still don't have a visa for me. Right now, I didn't go to work because I want to seek for a legal advice. I'm so desperate for your help. And I also want to know if i have the right to make the restaurant pay for the damage they did to me. because the truth is there's a lot of job here in Bahrain, but they promised me that they will give me a visa as soon as possible before my mobility lapse. please I urgently need your help. .thank you so much.
