where to stay

Posted in Bahrain forum 20 Oct 2011, 13:28

Hi. I'm arriving next month and will be working in Al Khobar. I will be residing in Bahrain (as the Company provides this option). Can anyone advise on the best place to stay to provide the shortest time to my office in Al Khobar? Many thanks. Dave

    place to stay

Mate just go straight to Amwaj islands, Bahrain is so small extra 5-10mins drive wont make a difference. At least you will be out of the trouble areas e.g Manama, sar,Adliya, bits of juffair. These areas are good for nights out etc.
Amwaj is new and developing into a very nice place. for the money the places you will find in amwaj will be a bit smaller but alot nicer also since al the troubles many properties are available with monthly contracts. so if you dont like the place just move onto the next one.

i work in saudi and spend my weekends in Bahrain. The place is not the same since the troubles but calm now....any other info you need just ask.

Thanks for the response Saj. How long would it take to drive from the island as opposed to driving from Saar? Cheers

saar is close to the causeway, i would say a good 10 mins extra drive to amwaj. do keep in mind alot of the trouble has been in an around saar.
