Do you have an experience with the health care in Toronto?

Posted in Toronto forum 07 Sep 2010, 10:23

Hello,

I was wondering, does someone of you in this forum have experience with the health care in Toronto? How is the service? Is it in a good level? Is it hard to find a good doctor (like dentist, pediatrician etc.) and make appointment? Or are there long waiting lines for an appoitment? Also, is it very expensive?

Thank you for advice!

Gaelle

    Hi Gaelle,
You can purchase visitor to Canada insurance, it doesn't kick in for 48 hours after arrival.
They have drop in clinics that take new patients, in al ot of cases some doctors don't take new patients.......but some do.
    The service is quite good
Depending how established the doctor is may determine how long you may wait for an appointment...........more popular, the longer the appointment, but you may get lucky if there is a cancellation.
    Hope this info helps
