Age of Ex-Pat workers in China?

Posted in China forum 24 Feb 2010, 21:16

Hi!
Does anyone know if there are any age restrictions for Americans who would like to work in China? Also, in there a mandatory retirement age if one works in China?
Thanks so much for your response!

    Hi Erin,

How are you? Nice to "meet" you here.

Regarding your question, I don't think there is an official age restrictions for Americans who would like to work in China. However it depends which industry you will work for. I say so many Americans they teach English here. Young and old ones there are a lot here. Detail you shall talk to the employer directly. :-)

    Wish you good luck!

    Regards,

    Hi Erin,

How are you ? Glad to meet you here.

Regarding your question, Qihua is right. There is no official age restrictions for Americans who work in China.
Last month I went to an English school for improving my oral English. The school local in Zhuhai,Guangdong province,a very beautiful coastal city, with pleasant weather .There are many English native speakers ,most of them work there for several years. All the people in this school can only speak English.Maybe you can visit the website "www.glvchina.com/english/main.php" and find some information.Sciencely hope it is useful for you.

    All best wishes!

    Hi Giordano,
Have you found a job there?
If not, I would like to know if you know something about injection moulding or die casting? Just a little bit is fine. Are you willing to do some sales work?
I saw you are very young, maybe not like this kind of work.
    Rgds
