    Hello Katharina,

My friend is living there in Larnaca since 13 years. and i am also planning to go and open up a business with him and live there. i asked him about the language and he answered that almost all people are speaking English because a lot of tourist going there and people must speak English. so don't worry about the language.

Regarding the work, i asked him also and he said there is alot of hotels in Aiya Napa and Paphos. he told me she has to come and get some copies of her CV and go to the hotels and drop the CV and wait for the offers. all this procedure will take 2 or 3 days and he is sure you will find a job.

Hope my answer is helpful. and contact me if you need and more info.

    thank you,
    Rafat

    Hello Gary

My husband is currently working at TESCO supermarket and he also doesn`t speak greek.Do you think he could find a job in a supermarket in Paphos?
He also did work as a builder before(but is not a professional one) he is a sort of person who learns very quick and is a all round talent.

I am working currently in a Hotel in the Cotswoldes as a Front of House Manager.
So I hope I will be able to find a good job.
We are coming to Paphos on 17th April this year.

    Kind regards
    Katharina and Mark

    hi mark
you will need to speak greek if you want to work here as an elec as there is a test you will need to take to get a job here as a elec . do not let anyone say youy do not as if you work and are not registered they can take you to court and you must be able to speak so greek if you wanna get a good job here work is slowly getting harder to find as trhe real estate is gone to pot so elec work is far few between

come over meet up and look what or where you wanna live before decieding to come ove for good i suggest it first .

wages are not high so both need to work if yopu wanna come to enjoy a life here
