Why is the Finish music scene so dark?

I was always wondering about one thing - why is it, that so many heavy-metal bands come from Finland? Do you have any explanation? My theory about this is that the weather influences peoples mind and taste of music :-)

I've been 2 weeks in Finland for a vacation and I've noticed how people are much more happier when it's sunny and now when it's grey people are 'dark as our dark music'.
Another thing (generalized idea) is that you don't have to know how to dance when you listen heavy metal. You can jump and be 'idiot' and that looks normal.
That's how it looks - I might be totally wrong...but I guess guys are shy and heavy metal is one way to express themselves without pressure to know how to dance... :)
