A Shop, how's your French?

I am sure the business ideas you propose can do well. Here in Narbonne there must be 20 such shoppes for a town of fifty thousand. Sadly two or three go out of business every year. Plus most of the pharmacies in France sell all of the top Bio and natural brands of the same type of things. I was once a shoppe slave. (10-9) six days a week.
Indeed the chambre D'hote business can be dear to get into because you need to buy or rent the building,(see the ads on this site) but it's your home as well. That's the deal in France you have to live in your Chambre D'hote. But as a gringo it gives you the opportunity to have a legal business without big documentation problems.
Documentation and language will be your biggest hurdles. -

Thank you all, for your opinions. (:
