  accomodation: Crous Paris or go privetly?

  Hello! My name is Dana, i am planning to come Paris to study my 1,5 year course and looking for accomodation. In a longer term, i would love to have studio - but i am not sure how to go about it. I have my coordinator working on my application, but it seems it is not straightforward and i am waiting what will be offered from Crous (student's org) and .. when. Does any one have any expereince dealing with student accomodations from CROUS de Paris? I am woried about the time it takes to get that studio and also conditions of living. Please, if anyone have an idea, let me know. Shame that i can't understand french ! will work on it to get it better! Thanks!

  Hi Dana! I have no experience with Crous but the private apartment in Paris are extremely expensive! You will probably get a cheaper deal through a student org so try to get that first.

  Thank you Frank, I am staying at Crous and have seen couple of studios on offer privately - but i wasn't impressed with conditions and size for the money that i was going to pay. 600-700 euros! I am sure I can rent the whole house in other european cities. I saw crous studios and although still a bit pricey 450 for 24 m2, it is a good condition, than those i was looking privately and could affort.Thank you, i am getting on with my studies now, although still havn't started properly on french. Thanks again!

  Hello ,
  Lovely residence hostel with a very good atmosphere for international students. It is outside of Paris, only 17mn by subway to the centre of Paris. Neighbourhood: green area, supermarket (100m), public market, college, lake (2km), free parking place.Single and double rooms, all fully furnished. Internetprovided with telephone facilities. Prices start from 400-450 € per month for a single room and 600-650 € for a double room. Shared rooms would cost around 300 € per person:::lot more;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
