Germany forum < Racism in Germany - how bad is it?

    Patrick, there is one thing about Germans, they do not trust Auslaender. I think its not that they are racists, they are scared to believe in Auslaender stories, and I tell you why. Its that many Auslaender took asylum to Germany with false stories (lies), even those who came with true stories not all but many of them misused the system. My last dentist is one of them. Germans are too honest and straight forward in their dealings and opposite to Canadians who are superficial...a German will tell you that he does not trust you. Believe me if you are person with color Canadians will also not trust you but they will play their cards on your back.

    I've also many other examples of foreigners who stole the stuff from karstadt and other stores and you know how they did, they switched the shoes in shoe box and German sales person trusted them. Of course later in Camera they probably saw that who did it. Sure there must be Germans who do the same trick but I've seen many auslaender who cheat the system much better than Germans. I'd one university class mate who told me that his father is mentally disable so he was taking benefit of that. He was leaving his father in big stores and if father came out with something without paying then he took it from him. Once he showed me an expensive jacket that how he got for free through his father. I asked him that what will happen if they catch his father and he said, they did couple of times but he looked mentally unstable so they left him. These are some examples set by Auslaender and they are enough to support Germans to not trust Auslaender. Its sad Germans go for stereotyping but I tell you if educated doctors like that I had is also misusing the system then whom to trust. Seriously I'll also think twice before going to any Auslaender dentist.

    But somewhere you're right as I think too much trust in your own people can lead you to nationalism.
