    probably owning a car is cheaper in the US than in Canada. my preference for public transit is purely due to a financial reason. in fact, I ride a bike! :)

    anyways, the people make the country what it is. and if the people believe in freedom and liberty for all, that reflects on the country as a whole. immigrants don't come to North America to be treated as kings and queens, but to be treated equally. I wouldn't say it's truly that fair, but I'd say it's pretty darn close.

    by the same token, Germans make Germany what it is. they don't want so many immigrants. yet the their government keeps ignoring the outcry by the people. and immigrants are stuck in the middle thinking what the hell is going on? we thought they needed us! LOL
