Search efforts for the missing Singaporean Kuok Leong Jin,28, continues in both Singapore and Greece.

The fourth-year Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School student had gone missing in Athens, Greece, and his family and friends are anxiously searching for him. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is also working with the Greek authorities to search for the missing man.

Authorities in Athens have received at least three calls in the last 24 hours providing information on Kuok. According to those who called, Kuok was last seen at his hotel and on the streets of Athens. It remains to be verified whether Kuok visited the nearby islands.

Meanwhile, Kuok's friends have started a Facebook page, "Missing Singaporean in Athens, Greece - Kouk Leong Jin" to help in the search. Many on the page have been expressing encouragement to Kuok's family, especially to his wife Ms Seow Shu Ping. The two have only been married about two weeks ago.

Among Kuok's friends who started the Facebook page, is Mr Hong, 28, a friend and former classmate of Kuok.

He said "We are all his good friends and we're very worried about his disappearance. We started this Facebook page for him and hope that people with information will come forward to help."
