Visiting Hungary in late Spring!

Greetings to one and all.
I would like to visit Hungary in late Spring for approximately a week, give or take a few days.
Main purpose is to make a mini series that examines the people as well as places. I understand that the timescale will not permitted a cohesive series but nonetheless it will be start.
I'd appreciate if there is someone there who is able guide me and recommend a place to stay. Don't forget that I'm an artist thus not after any extreme luxuries. It's all about the work.
