  Ireland in December/January

  Hello: Is this a particularly bad time to visit Ireland, or is it festive and welcoming to visitors? I ask because some countries pretty well shut down during the holidays and are very family-oriented. I was thining of visiting Ireland with family from Canada (I live in Madrid), and I would certainly want it to be a great holiday for us all!
