Moving to Cork

Hello everyone,
my name is Eugenio I'm from Italy and after spending many years between Middle east and Asia I would like to come back to europe. Being my wife from South Africa we are searching for possibilities where english is not a problem and for chance I found a job opportunity in Cork for wich they offer 42000 Euro a year. My question is if this amount will allow a comfortable setting or it does not reach par with the life cost of this little beautifull city?
