Can anybody share some update of the bubiyan island, I will very soon visit there for working, in Bubiyan Seaport project, near Iraq border. Just wanted to know whether there is any place nearby where i can stay with my family, any shops available or how good is the communication from kuwait city, how far distancewise is that etc. etc. Pls. reply. Thank you.

As you requested, the nearest Town from the Boubyan Island is called Jahra, it is 120km from the proposed sea port. 75km highway and the remaining gatch road inside the island, almost 1hr 45min driving. And if you are looking for the accomodation where Indian community is ataying the place called ABBASIYA is 170km from the proposed sea port, almost 2hr 10min driving distance. If you are planning to bring your family it is better to stay in Abbasiya, Riggai or Salmiya where Indian Schools are available also it is close to the shopping malls and other facilities.
