10 Sep 2008, 09:22Going KuwaitHi everyone here! I am a chinese girl and I am going to work in a chinese restaurant in Kuwait city very soon. My feeligs now is a combination of excitement and worriness. I do a lot of researches about Kuwait on line resently. I find out it is rich and full of exotic beauty country which I look forward to seeing her. On the other hand, I am just worried about that I may not be able to cope up with the huge cultural differences between Kuwait and my own contry.

Is there any one can share your experiences in kuwait with me? How is the security there? Do you have any chinese friends who work and live there also? How do they find this country?
I will definitely appreciate your reply! -
For the most part the crime rate is very low. Although women should be careful when traveling alone. I have know women who get harrassed. Once you get to know your way around there are things to do during your free time. There is a small chinese population here, so I'm sure you may be able to meet a few friends.

Ivy,
I saw your post from last year, and I was curious if you made it to Kuwait and how things worked out for you. I'm not Chinese but American. I lived in China for a year and a half 2003-2005 and I have been having a hard time finding Chinese friends in Kuwait. I would like to improve my Mandarin but haven't had much of a chance to speak it since I've come. Please let me know.
