  Workingand living in Libya (and bring a dog there)

  I am considering an ESL job in Libya and wonder if anyone knows the going rate? I have a Master's and BA as well as a TEFL cert.
  I understand the cost of living isn't too bad but if anyone has details I'd like to talk with you.
  Also my dog is insisting on coming along. He's already a world traveler but I'm curious as to the culture's attitude towards dogs. He's a smaller guy.

  I am afraid I cannot tell exactly how much you will get paid. However I do believe that there is high demand on English as second language in Libya. So I am sure that you can make reasonable money and you will have different choices as there are many ESL schools in Tripoli. Also there is British council in Tripoli and there are some British and American English language teachers and I think they are happy with their jobs in Libya.

  Regarding your dog, as Libyans here it is not common to have dogs living inside houses. But it is not impossible to bring your dog with you and keep it with you at home and also do some activities with it like walking etc. People here just don’t care about it.
