I have been offered a contract in Luxembourg for 6 months which I would desperately love to take. I need to find reasonable accommodation that does not commit me for more than 6 months initially. Can anyone help with any suggestions or properties. I am meant to start mid november.
Also, my GF is coming with me. She is a management accountant with no 2nd language. Her experience is manufacturing not banking. Will she be able to find a job? any suggestions on this front.

Hi John,
Check out www.station.lu for short term accommodations. There are lots of offers in that site.
Coming with your girl friend without second language is going to be tough. Do not expect her to find any job easily in Luxembourg with a single language. Even with triple language.
I have lived long enough in Luxembourg .I can tell you most expatriate who come to Luxembourg to work accompanied by their partners ,always have to carry their partners responsibilities because the accompany partners always find it difficult finding a job.
Almost all the people with single language whom I have met working in Luxembourg, do get their job outside Luxembourg before moving down to Luxembourg to work..
I do not want to sound pessimistic, but I feel I should let you know what to expect .You and your girlfriend could be lucky and your case can be an exemption from the normal norms in Luxembourg.
Finally she should be ready to spend the better part of her evenings leaning new languages from the scratch for a long time. -
Hi John
First off, Luxembourg is a great place to move to and relocate to. For short term lease you may wish to try:
http://www.immo-lux.lu/
These properties are all fully furnished with no agency fees.
I would also say that I agree with Aly on both points - www.station.lu is a good site an secondly I think your partner will struggle to find a job here in her field, especially as she has no second language.
There are a few English speaking companies here but she would have to perhaps take a basic admin job which I don't expect will be as challenging as her current role.
Any other help or advice you need please feel free to get in touch.
