knowing Dutch not a prerequisite, but makes your life EASIER

Sure you can. Nevertheless, it is more difficult to expect to find a job in your own field.
Depending how long you plan to stay, I strongly recommend in investing in learning the language. You will gradually fell more part of the city and the society.
Everything depends on what you want to make from your new experience in Amsterdam.

I'm speaking only english too, and I'm curious.. if it's hard to get a job, and a place to stay, in Amsterdam. I'm sure if u have any friends in there, will be more easy.. because u can count on their help.. but, without any friends ?

Im sure there are a fair few tourists in our position that cant' speak any dutch but are planning to go over to the Netherlands. I have one friend over there and he told me that it is possible but it is definately harder. I guess all we can do is save up enough for a long search so that we don't run out of money while we are searching for work! When are you heading over there?

It is possible but U have to search deeply. There are for example many agency's that are looking for natvie speakers or english speakers ( f.e. adecco or www.undutchables.com ). In bigger city's agency's are on the streets of course :) But that kind of jobs U wouldn't find a lot. And if U find something U must be ready that this job will be in very specific department..........good luck :)

    hi Yari
I'm live in Amsterdam for the last 6-7 years (I'm from Peru, I have a Spanish passport).
Amsterdam is usually very easy to find jobs without speaking the local language (I still don't speak it :-s). All my jobs have been in English. Ams is probably the friendliest european cities when it comes to finding jobs without speaking its language.
Just make sure you have a place to stay at when you arrive, 'cause one thing is for sure: Ams is very difficult (but not impossible) when it comes to housing... but it's all part of the experience, isn't it??? ;-)
Just go for it, you will not regret it! ;-)
    good luck
    Yamil
