What are the qualification requirement for a Internal Sales Admin in Hamilton NZ

Posted in New Zealand forum

I come across to apply many job but all has been rejected by the Recruitment Agency but the job description are match with my working experience from 90%-100%. I'm not sure why I have been drop off it's any reason related to AGE & Education level (I believe NZ don't have Racist issue even my name was in Chinese name reason was I do saw a lots of Chinese also been hire (ex. my husband also been hire), the only thinking in my mine was I'm not good to fit in)? I'm a Diploma holder but I need a advice if let said in NZ not accept any Diploma holder for a job application than at least I aware it for my preparation than I might go for a search to get a further studies to meet the requirement.

My Ex-boss just migrate to Australia and he was looking around with my ex-customer and inform them wanted to hire me to work with him in Australia but I can't work in OZ because my husband are working in NZ beside that my husband love NZ a lots & same goes to me as I feel NZ is a nice country to live.

I know that all company has a probation period before confirm a permanent staff, if yes why the Employer are worry to hire a experience staff even it's not local so far I know if the staff can't fit to the company it can be asking for leaving as this was practice in our Asian country (Malaysia & Singapore), rather than the position was empty for many months is effected the business growth as well.

I hope to receive a feedback from anyone in the forum to advice & give me more information as I want to be a useful person not a person who is spoon feed. I believe we are human god gifted us a hand and leg with a grateful is to work and earn a penny for surviving.

Thank you.

    Hi Jess,

I found this article that might help you find some answers :)

On the other hand, it may be worth looking at the INZ website for more information regarding visas, and NZQA's website in case the job demands a certain level of skills or qualifications (which you may need to have assessed).

    Hope it helps!

    Kind regards,

    Juan
