  Moving to Muscat in september 2009

  I will be moving to Muscat along with my husband in September 2009.
  I am looking for an apartment in Al Khuwair or Qurum.
  I am willing to pay upto 500 rials per month for rent.
  I need a maid who can stay with me or who can come in the morning and go in the evening, how much will it cost and where can I get such a maid?
  Should I rent or buy furnitures?
  I would be greatful if someone can help me out on all this.

  Welcome to Oman

  I think it's hardly now to fined in that places such accommodation at that price, all prices gone crazy down here ... about a maid you will fined an add's at the hypermarkets always ... you better buy the furnatuers if you'l stay for 2 years or more.
