Peru forum: Peru, a land of opportunities

Posted in the Peru forum

  • Peru has an enormous scenario of ecological strata and living species which turns it into one of the most important countries with megadiversity in the world. Peru was recognized by The World Bank, including it among the 12 countries which contain 70 percent of our planet's biodiversity.

This country is one of the worldwide centers of flora and fauna genetic resources. For example, it is the only country with more than 3,000 potatoes varieties, 36 corn species and an outstanding variety of peppers, grains and Andean roots.

Peru is showing an excellent economic performance. During 2008, the GDP increased by 9.8%, a rate among the highest in the world, and which ensures that the expansion of the country will be for more than 10 consecutive years. Despite the international crisis, these positive economic expectations for Peru in the coming years are based mainly on the public and private investments announcements, and to the increased confidence of foreign and domestic investors.

And of course its people are among the most polite in the world, always willing to attend and serve others, so if you don't know much about this hidden paradise, just take a glance over the web.
