  How do i find a trustworthy financial advisor?

  I might be weird or something but i have the hardest time ever trusting my hard earned money to someone else. I live right now pay check to pay check which is not the funnest thing anyways and now i am being told to find a financial advisor and give him my money so that i don't have to live that way. Please help me to find someone that is trustworthy, i am super nervous about doing this any ways and maybe getting your help will help me to calm down about it.
