Hi, i plan to move to Catalunya. Im born in Germany but i have the italian nationality.
Im curious if it makes difference to immigrate as italian or as german. If it would be better as german i could change my nationality easily.
please share with me your experiences or thoughts about nationalities in spain.
Thank you, Filippo

Salve, Victor!
Please tell me why "everybody" is running away from this region. I'm really curious about your post. What is to know about this region?
I visit Catalunya since a few years every summer for a couple of weeks and this winter we want to go for getting a feeling how's it there when its "cold". Also i think that Catalunya is economically good for finding work.
well ... i'm curious :)
p.s. if you want write german its ok

well...its a nice place to have fun and so, but salaries are ridiculous.
Many big companies have left Catalunya, they may have their reasons :)
Anyway, for a life experience it's nice, if you find foreigners friends you will have fun, but don't expect anything from the locals :) they just want your money, dont wanna hear any critics about their way of life and they dont really care how u feel :)
I moved to Switzerland 1 year ago and dont even think of returning to Barcelona...just for holidays! for that it's the perfect place ;)

thats in fact really interesting!
Can you give me keywords for the previous big companies? its interesting for me to research what happens/happened and if its touching my plans. I am graphicdesigner and I want to work with my office for new spanish companies also (additional to my german clients).
I heared about, that you have lots of graphicdesigners but they where not so reliable and little good offices where searched. Can you confirm this?
Its also interesting what you're saying about the locals. Are youself Catalá?
We think about living at the place round about barcelona or girona for the beginning – and later between cadques and portbout. Maybe. for sure, everything flows :)
Gracie! Filippo

I was not born in Catalunya but in Aragon, but most of my years I lived in Barcelona.
For sure now it's better moment for small offices cos big ones are firing a lot of people, the problem as a small office is to open market.
But of course, it will depend on your talent for it, as I am very lazy I recognise I wouldnt even know where to begin from.
Watch out, Girona and Barcelona are extremely different, dont know how much work there must be in Girona :S but for sure Cadaques is a place for holiday only, 100% tourismus oriented :)
The heart of the business is Barcelona, and companies often relay services to small offices, but they have to know u exist, and with so much competence...as i tell u, dont know where to begin from :)
Much luck!
