Spanish men and their Spanish temper...

Posted in Spain forum

I know that's an old discussion and full of stereotypes - but I just have to share my experiences!
I've been in Madrid recently (only for one week to search a room for my upcoming internship) and therefore came across the Spanish guys.
I already heard some stories of Spanish being very "open" towards people (especially girls), but I didn't think there were THAT open! When you're walking down the street some of them yell at you, and in clubs it's even worse! In some cases it's hard to get rid of them!
Of course, you can find that kind of guys in Germany too, but not in that extent!
I think their behavior is just part of the Spanish mentality.
What experience did you make as a girl here in Spain? (boys are also welcome to give their opinion...especially Spanish ones ;-))

Hello I'm not married, but I'm Spanish and I was born in WA. I live in QLD now, It's much nicer here than WA. You have the beach, and tropical weather and it's sunny too. WA is just dry desert and it's horrible, WA Is going through a very bad drought at the moment too. If you consider living in Australia live in Queensland, it's the best state. :)

There are few Spanish men in Western Australia, but the ones I have met are beautiful. A Spanish friend was homesick. What he expressed was moving. His soul was as deep as the ocean. Emotional intimacy takes courage. To me, a man who expresses himself, means I have done my job as a mother.

    Hi Tina

You shallowy demonstrate that racism and nonsense have no flag.
You dont have to be german to be stupid. You can afford to be stupid and talk nonsenses being german, african, italian ....coming from any country...
I only beg you would be a little more respecful and polite ...if you join a blog like this, it is one of the "threshold conditions" to abide, I think...
It is a big pity ....and maybe you are not aware but such words like yours only show how much did you suffer in the past ...I guess...maybe a spiteful boyfriend ???
Anyway, maybe your delusive experience of our country is sadly because you are not interested in opening your eyes. I have seen several tourists ("all included-fans") crossing the country, whose only knowledge of our culture is limited to the sight from the bus windows- I am sure you are one of them.

Hello Julia.I believe Spanish have a normal temper,no more no less than any other men around.Being born in Spain doesn´t mean you are going to be this or that, that´s all part of the stereotypes about Spain.
You will find there,as anywhere, men with strong temper, and others soft like a little bunny as to say.
As for the others claiming that all Spanish are macho-men,don´t take showers, etc,I won´t bother to reply-not worth the time my hands have to press the keys.
Hope you had a good time in Spain,as all the other people who like the sun, parties, and good food, friendly(and not so friendly)people, plus a very interesting historical heritage etc.
I realize this is a 2008 post, but I came to it by chance, and I had to say my words.

    Hasta la vista
