Hy everyone. I am on a selection for a job position in Basel in a pharmacetical company. As I will have to move my family, is there anyone who could help me in describing what would it be a good salary to live (a 4 people family with 2 babies) in Basel?

Hi Angela,
Its very hard to say what salary you need. Switzerland is a high cost country and the salaries are gross - meaning you will have to pay taxes in the end of the year plus you need a health insurance that cost you from CHF 250-500 per month.
If you are a european citizen I in the first period the taxes are deducted automatically (double check in your case). To find out more about prizes, salaries etc, this site could help: http://www.xpatulator.com/
Average salaries in Switzerland are around CHF 5,000 and you should be quite a bit above.
