Basel forum: Accommodation

  Accommodation

  I'm looking for a room in a shared appartment/house with other young professionals. Does anyone how to go about finding something - any good websites etc?

  Also are there any parts of town that you recommend living in, or are a bit dodgy/to be weary about?

  It's basel

  I have yet to find a dodgy area. We live right on the edge of the red light district and even that is only about as dodgy as hotel bar on a saturday night.

  hi there,

  I guess this site is the most useful if it comes to finding accommodation in basel:

  the thing is, it's all in german, but it's most def worth asking a german speakng friend to help you translating. I've lived in 5 different flats in basel and I've found them all there.

  For the 'dodgy' areas: It's pretty safe everywhere, I'd rather look out for an area that's well connected to public transport.
