Spouse Visa Help Needed

Posted in United Kingdom forum 25 Nov 2011, 17:26

Hi All

I am wondering if you could possibly help me as I am totally stumped and no idea where to start.

I met the most wonderful man online 2½ years ago and we finally met recently and decided to get married, which we did. It has only been 1 month being married, but of course I need him here in the UK with me as its horrific being apart from him. He is from Algeria.

I just have no idea where to go next or what information I need in order for him to apply for a spouse visa.

I am in permanent employment and have been for the last 16 years. I am on a descent enough salary and would be able to support us both. However he would obviously study or work once he was allowed to.

Can anyone shed any light on what evidence that I need to provide and how much money I need to show in my bank account to satisfy the UKBA.

Any help would be appreciated.

My email is […] if you would prefer to email me.

Hi I am a ILR holder n when I applied for spouse visa for my wife. I submitted marriage certificate, pay slips of last 3 months, her English test certificate ( Eg- lyf in uk, esol), 2 passport sized photo of mine and wife, bank statement of both, our both passport with visa application form. I did all paperworks by the help of solicitor. But unfortunately refused. But I think u better keep a solicitor. he will charge u but paperworks will be 100%.

hey. As the person above very well noted, applying for a marriage visa is quite complex even if you satisfy all the requirements because it's a lot of paperwork and a lot of attention is needed. I suggest you research some law firms specialising and immigration ask for some quotes. My friend used these guys and said they were very professional - www.gherson.com . You can also contact non profit organisation that offers advice for immgrants like the HSMP forum - http://www.hsmpforumltd.com/index.html .
