how to get residency in england

good morning to everybody
I was a wife of an english man,but now I'm widow.
I just want to know how can I have english residence but I work and live in italy.I have a flat in england but the bank don't give me the financing for paying this flat because I have not the residence in england..I have the pension of my husband and sometimes I go in england.
so,someone know how can I do that?

Hello,
I do not think it is possible for you to get residency. You do need to work and or live here to obtain that.
If you are seeking finance for your flat, perhaps you should consider renting it out . I would be happy to assist you in this

I dont agree with Peter, first of all what is your nationality ? You did not mention anything about the flat, for what you are saying it looks that it was morgaged no ? if so your husband must have had a life insurance !!
technically it should be paid off .!!
