    Day 1 Saigon arrival
    Xin Chao! Welcome to Vietnam. You are picked up at the Tan Son Nhat international airport by our tour guide and private car. Transfer to the city centre for check in hotel. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon city).

    After breakfast at your hotel. We will have a full day Saigon City tour. In the morning, we start from Cho Lon (big market), Chinatown district, to discover the area’s markets, shops and the Cantonese Thien Hau Pagoda – dedicated to the goddess of the Sea. We continue visiting Vietnam’s first traditional medicine museum, the FITO Museum, with an amazing collection of 3,000 items relevant to the development of traditional Vietnamese medicine. Implements used to prepare indigenous herbs and objects commonly found in traditional pharmacies can be seen in the galleries as well as ancient books and documents on traditional Vietnamese medicine.
    Head back to the city centre to visit Ben Thanh Market where an incredible display of fresh produce is offered. Simply stroll through the market exploring the variety of goods for sale.
    In the afternoon, we will Presidential Palace Stroll, War Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral. This church was built between 1877 and 1883 and one of the city’s major landmarks. Neo-Romanesque in form, Notre Dame is the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern Vietnam. Overnight stay in Saigon.

    Day 3 Saigon – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon

    Today, we leave Saigon city at around 8 am and head to Tay Ninh. Arrival Tay Ninh, we visit the Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect. Here you have chance to attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers which is a fantastic experience.

    Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After that, we continue visiting Cu Chi Tunnels which consist of an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during both the French and American wars. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. In the late afternoon we comback saigon for overnight.




    Day 4 Saigon – Cai Be Floating Market (Mekong Delta tour) – Saigon

    Breakfast at the hotel. It takes about 2 hours to Cai Be floating market. From here, we will visit floating market with the local traditional wooden boats, vast emerald rice fields and lush back waterways.
    On arrival board your boat for a cruise of Cai Be floating market. Traders work the river and some have been living on these waters for generations. Produce at the market is hung on a pole in front of boats to attract customers and make it easier for people to see from afar what is on offer.
    Leaving crowed florating market, we continue visiting a cottage factory where ‘pop-rice’, rice paper and coconut candies are made. Return to the boat for the cruise to Dong Hoa Hiep Island, admiring the scenery and the daily life of the local villagers along the way. Local lunch with Mekong style is served at local restaurant. Back to Saigon city for overnight.

    Day 5 Saigon City – Dalat

    Breakfast at the hotel. Then we take the flight to Dalat. It takes abut 40 minutes to there. Dalat is located 300 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Established as a hill station at the beginning of the century, Dalat is reminiscent of an alpine town with its French chalets and pine forests.
    In the afternoon, we will visit Dalat City with Bao Dai’s Summer Palace that sits on a hill just outside the main centre. Bao Dai was the Last Emperor of Vietnam and the Palace has been preserved exactly as he left it in 1954. It is a classic example of art deco that is a tourist attraction in itself. Continue the tour with the former railway station (in use only for an optional steam train ride) which is remarkable with its architecture and its old steam locomotive. Visit Xuan Huong Lake and Lam Ty Ni Pagoda where the folkloric a Buddhist monk, Vien Thuc, produces his abstract paintings and writes poetry. At the end of tour, we will walk around local bustling central market, renowned for its fresh vegetables and fruit that is rarely found in a tropical country. Overnight stay in Dalat.

    Day 6 Dalat – Nha Trang

    After breakfast at the hotel, we leave Dalat for Nha Trang on high way road. Drive on a panoramic route down a lush mountain pass to the coastal plains of Central Vietnam. The highland crops of coffee, tea and vegetables are replaced with that of tobacco, grapes and rice as the road descends into a dry climate. Follow the coast past salt ponds and vivid green rice fields to Nha Trang. Arrival Nha Trang, check in hote.
    After lunch time, we will visit Nha Trang city tour with the Po Nagar Cham Towers, the Alexander Yersin Museum, the ‘XQ’ workshop where exquisite hand made embroideries can be seen, Long Son Pagoda, with its enormous white Buddha statue and the lively and highly colorful Dam Market.

    Day 7 Nha Trang – visit islands

    In the morning, we take a boat trip on Nha Trang Bay to visit some of the nearby islands where you can swim and snorkel in the clear warm waters. Along the way, visit nearby villages or simply relax on the boat’s deck and ‘people watch’ as Vietnamese villagers, whose descendants have lived on these islands for generations, go about their daily lives. After a fresh seafood lunch on ‘Bamboo Island’, return to Nha Trang City.
    In the afternoon, you are free time on the beach. Overnight stay in Nha Trang.



    Day 8 Nha Trang – Danang – Hoian

    After breakfast at the hotel. You are transferred to the airport for flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang, drive 35-minutes to Hoi An. Hoi An is a destination with two faces – the charming, old-world trading port of narrow streets and traditional houses; and the beach with its new resorts and long stretch of clean white sand. In keeping with Hoi An’s heritage as a trading port, the town’s tiny shop-houses now host a range of craft shops and artisans including some of Asia’s best bespoke tailors. Despite the passing of 200 years and the ravages of weather and war, the centre of Hoi An remains much the same as it was in its heyday.
    Visit the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the ancient house Tran Phu and the Hoi An museum. Enjoy shopping with tailor made clothing, lanterns, shoes and food or, just relax on the beach. Overnight stay in Hoian.

    Day 9 Hoian – My Son Holy Land – Hoian

    Today you will visit My Son Holy Land. Located 70 km southeast of Da Nang, My Son was the capital of the once almighty Champa Kingdom. It boasts a complex of ancient ruins that date back 1,700 years. This is the most complete example of ancient Champa ruins that Vietnam has maintained. You will return Hoi An and free time. Overnight stay in Hoi An.





    Day 10 Hoian – Danang – Hue

    Free time at your leisure in the morning. And then we continue leave Hoian ancient town for Hue – the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Its mesmerizing tombs and mausoleums of the last emperors of Vietnamreveal fascinating insights into the lives of the imperial families and their subjects. The ancient Citadel reflects the pomp and ceremony of the dynastic rulers as well as the scars of many years of turmoil, both ancient and modern. The Royal Citadel was badly damaged in the latter stages of the warbut retains a sense of grace and majesty even today.
    On the way to Hue, we stop at Danang and visit the Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world before climbing over thePass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive Hue, check in hotel and overnight stay in Hue.

    Today we will have full day to visit Hue anecient capital. Start at the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. From here take a cyclo through dai noi ‘Old City’ to Tinh Tam Lake where the Emperors used to come to relax. It is full of lotus flowers in summer and there are many local style coffee shops around the lake where university students come to study.
    After exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument depart for Thien Mu (Celestial Lady) Pagoda overlooking the Perfume River. Constructed in 1601, the 21-meter tower is the centerpiece of the pagoda and represents seven reincarnations of Buddha. On the pagoda grounds is the famous Austin car a resident monk drove to Saigon in 1963 to protest against the southern regime. The photo of his self immortalization is one of the most well known images of the war.
    Continue to former emperor Minh Mang’s tomb located in a tranquil setting of gardens and ponds.
    Journey on to Khai Dinh’s Tomb designed in traditional Vietnamese style with a European touch making it unique from the other tombs in Hue.
    Before coming back your hotel, we walk around Dong Ba Market with your guide. The market is another of the must see sites in Hue, the stalls are teeming with color and a great place to catch a glimpse of everyday life. Overnight stay in Hue.

    Day 12 Hue – Hanoi

    Brekafst at the hotel and take morning flight to Hanoi. Arrival capital of Vietnam we continue have full day city tour with visiting the Temple of Literature. In 1076, Vietnam’s first university Quoc Tu Giam, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam’s royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for an incredible 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Visiting The One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049, next. This structure is one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples. Close by is the mausoleum of the historic father figure of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, and the former presidents house on stilts where he lived from 1958 to 1969. His former home illustrates the modesty of this Vietnamese revolutionary. (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov). Continue visiting the fascinating Ethnology Museum (closed Mondays), which is both a research centre and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. As an alternative to the Ethnology Museum, visit the highly acclaimed Vietnam Women’s Museum (closed on Mondays). The museum is located near Hoan Kiem Lake and offers wonderful insight into the lives of Vietnamese women. Displays highlight Vietnam’s vast cultural diversity and educate on the significant role Vietnamese women play in Vietnamese society. Learn historic and modern-day traditions centered around births, weddings, motherhood, spirituality and more.
    Back to the city central, you continue walking around Hoan Kiem Lake and visiting Ngoc Son Temple which to be the heart of Vietnam. Finish the day with a Water Puppet show. This is a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

    Day 13 Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Trang An – Hanoi

    After breakfast, our tour guide and driver pick you up at the hotel and transfer to Hoa Lu
    We will visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80) and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers. If time permits after visiting Hoa Lu take a half-hour walk up one of the surrounding limestone karst hills, the climb is rewarding with spectacular views.
    After lunch time, we will visit Trang An – is a less visited nature reserve similar to Tam Coc. Limestone hills surround a peaceful river which passes through a series of caves (one which takes 15-minutes to pass through in darkness). An ‘eco tourism’ area, the only interruptions here are the sound of birds and the gentle paddle of the oar upon the crystal clear river. Back to Hanoi for overnight stay.

    Day 14 Hanoi – Song Phuong Vegetable village – Duong Lam Ancient Village – Hanoi

    In the morning, we leave Hanoi and drive west of city. To the west of the city there are many smalls farms, where much of produce sold in the city market is grown. There are vegetables gardens, tropical fruits and very hospitable local people. Our destination is Song Phuong Vegetable Village. This is one of famous vegetable village in Hanoi surounding. Arriving around 09:00 am, we will tour around vegetable fields growing a variety of produce including: cauliflower, cabbage, tomatoes, green peas, Chinese peas and corn, as well as fruit gardens with oranges, pomelos, papaya and more., Around 9:30 am, we will join a farmer working in his field. You will have opportunity to help in the work of the small land-holding. Depend on the season this will involve ranking, sowing, water greens, picking greens and other garden activities. You will have be having opportunity to ask experienced for local farmers about cultivation techniques and lifestyle. Lunch at local family.

    We will visit Duong Lam in the afternoon, one of the country’s few remaining ancient villages. Situated northwest of Hanoi, a tour through Duong Lam is a great way to explore the area’s twelve-hundred year history. Explore houses over 400 years old, wander the village’s narrow alleyways, visit local temples, and most interesting of all, chat with friendly locals. Visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu commune – the only hamlet whose original village entrance remains intact. Continue on through the narrow alleys to see the old laterite houses which make up this charming village. Back to Hanoi for overnight stay.


    Day 15 Hanoi cooking Class – night train to Lao Cai (Sapa)

    In the morning, the tour guide take you to the cooking class in Hanoi. Passing a local market and learn about ingredients, flavors and see how the local prepare for meals. Next is a short talk on the art of Hanoian gastronomy, vegetables, herbs & spices & learn how to prepare & use them. Our Chef will share to you her pride of Vietnamese cuisines and the secrets how to make it good. Enjoy the local food in Hanoi capital.
    In the afternoon, you are free time in Hanoi.
    At arount 07 pm, you are picked up and transferred to Hanoi train station for the overnight train to Lao Cai, the gateway to Sapa. Overnight on the train in a soft sleeper compartment.


    Day 16 Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai Village – Sapa

    Arrival Lao Cai station at around 05:00 am. Meet our local guide and transfer to Sapa for breakfast at local restaurant before check in hotel. The day is devoted to a beautiful hike through the breathtaking scenery of Sa Pa valley. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km) En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight. Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well tended rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of man, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns. We lunch in a home in the village. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa. Approx: 1-hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.

    Day 17 Sapa – Ban Ho – Nam Toong – Lao Cai night train back Hanoi

    Met up at your hotel by local guide and driver then transferred to Su Pan Village. There we start our trekking day by walking downhill through the breathtaking scenery. We will trek through rice paddy fields until we reach Ban Ho village. This is a Tay village. We have a short visit of local house before a suspension bridge the a nice house where your guide will prepare your delicious lunch. After lunch, we continues our walk to another village. This is a Red Dao village this time, called Nam Toong. Stop by a nice house to taste a cup of tea before heading back to Ban Ho. Swimming is possible but you absolutely should check your guide’s advice before jumping on the water. Our vehicle is waiting for us for the journey back to Lao Cai Station for night train to Hanoi. Approx: 2 hours driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.

    Day 18 Hanoi – Halong Bay

    Arrive early in Hanoi where a hotel will be available to freshen up before heading to Halong Bay by road. Following breakfast, leave Hanoi for a 3hr30mins drive to Halong Bay including a 20-minutes stop on the way. Arrive at your jetty in Halong City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities. After your welcome onboard, a lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner and overnight on boat.

    Day 19 Halong Bay – Hanoi

    Enjoy your fresh morning in the middle of the bay, the sun rises on Halong in the morning and breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while the vessels cruises slowly through the magnificent rock formations and back towards port. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight stay in Hanoi.





    Day 20 Hanoi Departure

    Today is free at your leisure for last minute shopping or sight-seeing before driving to the airport to catch your departure flight home. End of your service.
