Black Bank Folk - Live Modern Irish Music - Supperclub

Following on from the release of the acclaimed album ‘Rising’ Black Bank Folk had an exciting 2016. This is going to be a great night.

Black Bank Folk are John Colbert and Jimmy Sheeran. Two musicians whose musical upbringings can be seen in the songs they love to play and the music they endeavour to write, whether those upbringings were the familiar late night renditions of old songs as youngsters sitting in on adult sing songs or their parents car radios introducing them to the Trad/Folk movement of the late 70’s/early 80’s Ireland or the influx of musical influences from both America and Britain at the time. Other influences were added to the mix over the years and Colbert has gone on to share the stage with artists who were once inspirations; Sinead O Connor, Damien Dempsey, Paddy Casey, Glen Hansard etc.
