Hey everybody! I'm new to this site, so bear with me if this question has been asked a lot. I'm a pharmaceutical chemist from Mexico, with a Spanish citizenship, looking to immigrate to Ireland. I have sent my resume out to several companies, but I haven't heard from any of them yet, I believe that they're hesitant to offer a position to some guy 8,000 km away, so I've been toying with the idea of going all in, and just going to Ireland to look for a job in person. If I'm not mistaken, as an EU citizen, I'm allowed to enter the country and look for employment, and to stay in Ireland if I find work. The problem is that my savings could maybe cover me for two or three months, at most, and if I don't find anything. I'd be in deep financial troubles.
So I was wondering if that's too much of a gamble, if it's too hard to find something in so little time, or on the contrary, if someone with my profile wouldn't experience any difficulty in finding a job. I was hoping to find something on the 35k to 45k range for yearly gross salary, and preferably not in Dublin (I hear it's really expensive!)
Any feedback would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!
