Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Leek April 2024

Funhouse Comedy Club is back at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday April 4th with a night full of laughter.

Topping the bill is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates his audiences.

Opening the night will be the very lively and genial Gerry K, a 2023 finalist in the prestigious British Comedian of the Year competition. Having performed stand-up all over the world he still found time to fit in some TV appearances and you may recognise his face from TV’s ‘The Bill’ and ‘FHM Comedy Heroes’. His amusing stories and factual tales are told with a ‘twinkle in the eyes’ and leave the crowd crying with laughter.

Completing the line-up will be Ben Turner with his sharp humour and playful views.

Compere for the night is the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
