Healthy Steps Walkathon and Boot Camp

A celebration of wellness & positive lifestyle change - promoting a healthier you while supporting charity. Start the day with an intense boot camp, then the walk to support Character Camp begins.

Come celebrate wellness and positive lifestyle change with Character Camp! Take a stride on the green carpet and post your pictures to social media before the day kicks off in full swing. The event will feature a boot camp session hosted by the KO King of Houston, Ricky Jackson, former Texas Heavyweight Champion from 1994-2001 and 2018 Houston Awards Program Trainer of the Year. Get ready to feel the burn and exercise with results - he’s here to show you how.  

Afterwards, lace up your sneakers in support of the Houston kids served by Character Camp.  Walk or run to the soundtrack fo the day - compete for the Golden Shoe, awarded to the patron with the most steps during the event, the Majestic Roamer Award for the kids and the Walker’s Guild Team Award. Lunch is included with your registration, and everyone gets a medal! 

Proceeds from this event are used to directly benefit the children who attend the Leadership Retreat in the summer, allowing Character Camp to offer scholarships to select campers and subsidized costs for all. This year, the week long retreat will be hosted at Trinity Pines Campground and Conference Center in Trinity, Texas.
