I moved to one of the charming middle class villages between Bremen and Hannover on the DB line back when you wrote that post in August.
Your English seems pretty good. I am still easily baffled by the language.

it depends on where you want to live. Groepelingen is a multi-culturall area with a big shopping center and direct acces to the main station and hochschule bremen in 20 minutes. live is cheap there and housing mostly rented by www.gewoba.de
If you a posh you may not the right there
