  I had a reply from Interlingua in Aachen:
  
  "Many thanks for your enquiry concerning a CIP course in German at inlingua Aachen.
  
  The price per lesson would be 33 Euros regardless whether you booked 4, 6 or 8 lessons every day, a lesson being 40 minutes in duration. An example of the timetable for a week with 4 lessons every day would be a double lesson from 9.00 -10.20 and a further double lesson from 10.30 - 11.50. Should you book 6 lessons or 8 lessons every day, we would schedule a lunchbreak after which you would take the remaining lessons.
  
  The only additional costs would be the registration fee of 20 Euros and the teaching material 34 Euros.
  
  Our school is located on the old Market square directly opposite the old townhall as you will see from photographs on our homepage."
  

  This seems very expensive, does anyone have prooces for other schools in the area?

  Hello Sue,

  I am taking German courses at VHS-Aachen, it's cheap but I wouldn't recommend it personally.

  Last year I took German courses at VHS-Reutlingen and the teachers were much better.

  I'm probably going to ask the same question, I'm thinking of moving to live there, after a few months going to language school in Aachen.

  Language is the first stumbling block, I last tried to learn German 25 years ago......

  Hi Levent,
  I don´t know if there exists an english speaking community in Aachen, but every Tuesday there is a international meeting in the Humboldt haus (Pontstrasse 41), where you can easily meet lots of international people and students living in Aachen!
