Eisenhower Dance Detroit presents Within

Join Eisenhower Dance Detroit for an inspirational look Within as we uncover new artistic voices from the inside! This program features original choreography set on the company by EDD dancers, Alex Hlavaty and Lillie Hamilton, and EDD alumnus, Darby Wilde. Set to the music of Nam June Paik combined with a remix by Lague and Applefish, Mr. Hlavaty's work, "Fuel Finds the Flame," explores the notion of negativity as a weight inside the mind needing to be disarmed before one can become truly productive. Ms. Hamilton's piece, "Have You Had Enough?" sparks a look at entrapment and loss coming from within the grind of daily routine. The music of Thom Yorke provides a backdrop to the feeling of being trapped within repetitive habits where one looks without really seeing and travels without really moving. Ms. Wilde will complete her choreographic residency with the EDD dancers just days before this performance! Don't miss this look from WIthin!
