Green Tara Buddhist Retreat & Initiation
About this retreat:
The Green Tara Initiation and retreat helps us to awaken the innate seeds of wisdom and compassion from within. The weekend will impart powerful tools which help to raise awareness, and inner joy through through guided meditations, teachings and discussions.
Green Tara in particular, has the power to help remove both inner and outer obstacles, that prevents our true and innate wisdom from manifesting. The practice helps us to remove the eight fears, the dangers that come from ignorance, attachment, anger, pride, jealousy, miserliness, doubt and wrong views. The main causes of suffering being disturbing thoughts.
About the initiation:
Geshe Gyalten will offer the green Tara initiation/empowerment on the Friday evening. The empowerment gives you permission to do the full practice (which provides maximum benefit) and helps to open your heart further to the wonderful qualities of this deity (love, compassion and wisdom). There is no need to have any previous experience or to have taken refuge (be a Buddhist) to attend. You will still receive a blessing.
