Dr Caroline Ness and Dr Anita Quye of the University of Glasgow will outline their research into the use of synthetic fibres in fashion fabrics by British couturiers and ready to wear designers in the 1950s and 1960s. The speakers will refer to a group of couture dresses gifted to the Fashion Museum in the 1960s by the Man-Made Fibres Association. This Twilight Talk takes place in Science Week.

Includes wine reception. This talk is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
