- Hello everyone I'm hoping to make a living in Douai so that I can live with my girlfriend permanently after commuting between Lille and London for the last year I have finally left to live here full time. I have been living and working in London for seven years designing and making furniture/ props/ artist installation pieces/shop displays/ furniture restoration/ cabinet making and fitted furniture, I love making furniture but I'm struggling to find any work locally or in the surrounding area. Also it would be really nice to meet some other English people and find out how they got on here and what I could do to integrate more.
