The Baxters River Ness 5K is open to all ages and running abilities, including wheelchair entrants, and follows a flat route along the scenic River Ness through historic Inverness.

The Festival of Running also features the iconic and award-winning Loch Ness Marathon, the popular Baxters River Ness 10K and Wee Nessie kids' race. Entry for all races available now with limited 5K entries available on race weekend, subject to availability.
Many runners and spectators, choose to stay longer - a huge attraction of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running is the area's natural beauty and wealth of attractions. The area is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and, of course, the Loch Ness Monster. Activities in the Scottish Highlands range from challenging hill walks to kayaking, dolphin spotting boat trips to distillery visits.
