Cardiff Sanlam Go Dad Run 5k and 10k

Go Dad Run was created in 2013 by former world champion athlete Colin Jackson to raise awareness of and funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

The 2016 Go Dad Run 5K and 10K races in Cardiff will be staged in Bute Park on the morning of Father's Day, Sunday 19th June. The 5K is open to men of any age, with U10's running for free, and the 10K is for men over the age of 16.

In previous years we've seen dads, sons, grandads, uncles, brothers, cousins, partners, nephews, step-dads and sons, husbands, friends, teammates, boyfriends and work colleagues all taking part to support the men and families who are affected by prostate cancer and in 2016 we'd love to see record-breaking numbers of men at all our events!

All registered runners receive a timing chip, a pair of big blue Sanlam Go Dad Run Y'fronts to wear over their running shorts, a PUMA t-shirt, a Big Yellow Bag and a medal. This year we've also introduced a new team competition.

As well as the mass participation warm up we'll have lots of very famous faces to set the runners off at each event and there will be plenty of food and refreshments at the event hubs for the spectators to enjoy whilst the guys run, walk, jog or wheel themselves round the courses.

The Fix Events have been organising multisport events for over 10 years and have a wealth of experience in delivering high quality, fun, challenging and rewarding events. Ranging from triathlons, runs, corporate and charity projects there's a multitude of activities under our brand.
