Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ashby-de-la-Zouch November 2020

Funhouse Comedy Club brings another socially distanced night of laughter to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday November 12th.

Topping the bill is slightly camp, middle-class funnyman Hal Cruttenden. Having a background in professional acting he has made numerous TV appearances, including 'Live at The Apollo', 'Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow', 'The Royal Variety Performance', 'The Rob Brydon Show', 'Let's Dance for Comic Relief', 'Would I Lie To You', 'Sunday Night at the Palladium', 'Mock The Week', 'The Great British Bake Off – Extra Slice', 'Celebrity Squares', and Pointless Celebrities. With his ability to mix the personal, the surreal, the ridiculous and the political he delivers an energetic and absorbing performance.

Opening the night will be the consistently funny and inventive Robert White, who was 2018 runner-up on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, where he roasted all the judges then received 4 'yes's'! Openly gay and with Asperger's syndrome, he is a unique, spellbinding comic, who writes for other comedians and TV panel shows. With his abstract perspective and natural musical ability, the result is a collection of pockets of randomness, which are very funny and truly engaging for everyone.

Also appearing is Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of 'It's a Fair Cop' in 2014, it is now in its fifth series.
